In November 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 I participated in “Novembeat“. This year, I was going to skip it in favor of working every day on an album and blogging about it daily (we can call it “Novalbum”).
But then something happened as I was typing out the four years above. I’ve already done this four years in a row. Why stop now? Feels like I should at least do a fifth.
I really want to do an album, though. Not just a Novembeat compilation. But an actual planned, arranged, practiced, recorded album.
So, what to do? Ugh, I think maybe I should try to do both. Novembeat posts will be a little lower effort. Simple beats. Maybe only a minute long. Something every day.
Then I use the extra time to work on album material.
Is this sustainable for a month? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
