After 5 years of daily videos for Novembeat, I unfortunately have to skip this year. I had to return to the office and the commute has basically sucked up any free time I have for making videos like that.
But, I can still mess around with my gear and make short beats and jams. I am going to attempt something every day this month and will post it here with some simple details about what I did.
Yesterday, I set up my Emu Xtreme Lead-1 (old school, right?) to be controlled by Reason which was sending MIDI to the Emu via Reason’s Beat Map and Bassline Generator players (Reason’s players are such a great source of inspiration to get a track going). I then recorded the output of the Emu into an audio track in Reason with the new Osmium distortion effect adding some color. More coloration using the Waves TG12345 on the master out.
