Gritty Mono Ambient

I decided that I want to start practicing the bass guitar more deliberately in the coming year. This is not an example of that. Rather, I’m practicing and then as a reward, giving myself some time to noodle. For this piece, I ran the bass into the Mood (mono in/mono out). I had the clock set to the lowest resolution (full CCW on the knob). The left side of the pedal is in reverb mode with the longest reverb setting. The right side of the pedal is in tape mode with the modify knob set at around 9 o’clock and the length knob pretty short (pretty far CCW as well). The back half of the piece is just knob twiddling on the right side.

Gear Used:

  • Ibanez ATK 4-string bass (circa 1995)
  • Chase Bliss Mood mk2
