This jam is short and somewhat to the point. No performance effects here, even though both the Digitakt and MC-101 are good for that sort of thing.
The song came from some late-in-the-day inspiration. I wanted to send a good friend a little techno version of the happy birthday song for her birthday today. I put that track together in Reason. I really liked the bass part in it, so I used the note progression as the inspiration for my jam tonight.
The Digitakt and MC-101 are a great combo. The MC-101 has some nice synth presets (here I did a lot of random patch generation too) that really fill some of the gaps in on the Digitakt while not overlapping too much in overall functionality.
I think this turned out pretty good and somewhat uplifting. I would consider doing more with it to make it a full song.
